The quality of the food is amazing! The seafood chowder is full of goodness. Scallops, prawns, clams, crab legs, ... the halibut n chips is to die for. As good of better than you can get on the west coast (vcr). The place is small so make reservations.

Always consistently great food. Sandy and her staff are the best in the Cariboo. So polite, down to earth and smiles that just go on forever. I highly recommend trying Boondocks. You won't be disappointed.

We have eaten here several times and truly enjoy the cozy and friendly atmosphere. The fries are amazingly good. The fish and chips have always been perfectly done - crispy on the outside and moist and flaky on the inside. We have had two crab dinners and the crab was perfectly cooked. Vegetables are firm and crunchy. The staff are friendly and very open. They always seem to be enjoying themselves. This is a small restaurant with four standard booths, one large booth, a small table for two and one larger table that looks like it could seat six people. It is best to call ahead and make reservations because they fill up quickly and if you just show up, they may not have space. They might, but you are taking a chance; honestly, you don’t want to miss the delight of dining here.

We are camping at Horse Lake June 10th 2019 until June 30 2019 the office had the menu for Boondocks. We decided to drive in and give it a try. Really cute little restaurant at Bridge Lake, fish and chips up here it will be yucky frozen fish to our surprise " THE BEST CHOWDER AND FISH AND CHIPS EVER" what a pleasant surprise. Lovely rustic little restaurant, lovely server, we WILL BE BACK before we head back to the coast. When come back next year it will be our must go to place. Thank you Boondocks for a great lunch. Highly recommended.

My parents and I heard about this place and thought we would try it out. We were amazed by the food. I had calamari ( soooo good) my dad had the chowder the best he’s had in a long time. I had a taste of the chowder and the halibut that my dad also had sooo good. The shrimp that my mom had was really good too. Anyone looking for a great place for seafood I highly recommend this restaurant. Left happy and sooo full.

A seafood gem. An angel serving me. Chowder was full of healthy veggies and of fish, shrimp, small fresh crab leg and clams. Could of been thicker and creamer but delicious. Clam strips tasty but a little overcooked. Half were tiny pieces ot worth eating. Halibut fried fish was excellent!!

Great food! I love this place and am so lucky to have them close by. Fresh food. Cute small location. Try their sunomuno starter soup. I love their fish & chips and their prawn linguine with lots of garlic, yummy!
